Service

Personal Care Alternative — support in the home you already live in.

In-home personal care delivered by trained direct-care staff in the client’s or family’s own home. Funded through the HCBS-DD waiver. Across the Denver metro.

What PCA covers

Daily-living support without leaving home.

Personal Care Alternative (PCA) provides hands-on support with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility, and instrumental tasks like meal prep and household routines — in the client’s or family’s own home.

For many of the adults we serve, PCA is the right model when a Host Home isn’t a fit: when family is already providing the housing and the client just needs trained direct-care support to thrive in place.

Who PCA serves

Adults 17+ on the HCBS-DD waiver.

PCA is available to adults 17 and older with intellectual or developmental disabilities qualified for the HCBS-DD waiver. We accept the same spectrum of need as our Host Home service:

  • Behavioral complexity (case-by-case).
  • Medical complexity (G-tube, oxygen, seizure disorder, non-ambulatory).
  • Dual diagnosis (IDD + serious mental health).
  • Aging-in-place support.

Care Coordinators handle the same relationship and reporting role for PCA clients as they do for Host Home clients.
